Saint Benedict's Auxiliary
Members of St. Benedict's Auxiliary meet monthly at Saints Peter and Paul Church Social Hall. This organization of women and men plan activities to promote and advance the welfare of the sisters.

In January 2012 Eleanor Cerbus, Treasurer of the Auxiliary, presented Sister Margaret Mary and Sister Mary Martha a check for the Benedictine Sisters. We are grateful of the generous support the members of the Auxiliary give.

Sister Marion Dobos, OSB presents talk on `The Raising of Lazarus`
Recently Sister Marion Dobos, a member of Queen of Heaven Monastery presented a talk during Lent to the members of St. Benedict's Auxiliary. Her talk was `The Raising of Lazarus` Sister explored the importance of the raising of the friend of Jesus, Lazarus, taking place just before His death and Resurrection. The raising of Lazarus proved, beyond a doubt, that Jesus could bring someone back to life. A week later He brought Himself back to life. Thus, the importance of His own Resurrection proving He is God.
Trafficing of Women and Children
Naomi Hokkey, and attorney with Catholic Charities, presented a talk to the members of St. Benedict's Auxiliary on the trafficking of women and children. She gave specific examples of cities and towns that are known to be centers for the exploitation of women, as well as children. This drastic violation of human rights exists in our United States of America. Mrs. Hokkey gave out literature concerning the great exploitation of women and children all over the world.
