Golden Jubilee Celebration Soon.
Sister Agnus Knapik OSB will celebrate her 50th Anniversary of final profession as a religious. This will take place at St. Peter & Paul Church on East Market Street in Warren Ohio. Sister will renew her vows at the Divine Liturgy at 6:00 PM.

March for Life 2012
The day after the Vocation Fair in Washington, D.C. Sister Agnus attended the March for Life. Sister Agnus with Archpriest Dennis Hrubick from the Parma, Ohio Eparchy.

Vocation Fair
During this past year, the bishops of the Eastern Catholic Churches in the United States planned a vocation fair. It was held in January of 2012 in Washington, D.C. Sister Agnes Knapik represented Queen of Heaven Monastery. She is the vocation director for the community.

Before his death, the Patriarch of the Orthodox Coptic Church of Alexandria came to the United States. He was being treated at the Cleveland Clinic. Sister Margaret Mary, along with the Sisters and Nuns from the Orthadox Coptic Convent of St. Mary and St. John the Beloved, visited Pope Shenouda III at the Clinic.
The Sisters and Nuns from Egypt presently reside at the Benedictine Former Monastery on Squires Lane in Warren.

Easter Dinner
The sisters share the blessed food at dinner on Resurrection Sunday in the Sister's dining room.

Resurection Sunday
On Good Friday the Plachanitza (Winding Cloth) is placed in front of the alter. It is venerated and carried to the main alter after Resurrection services on Holy Saturday evening. The picture shows this in the chapel at Infant of Prague Manner, which the sisters use.

After the Resurrection Services basket of traditional foods are blessed. Sister Barbara Pavlik has prepared the ham, sausage, special cheese, eggs, horseradish and pascha.

Sale of Monastery on Squires Lane in Warren
In January, 2011, after discernment, study and consultation, the sisters decided to sell the monastery, buildings and property. After several offers, our community accepted the offer of the Orthodox Coptic Church. They plan to use the monastery as a convent for Egyptian Orthodox Christian sisters. It is now known as St. Mary and St. John the Beloved Convent.
